This is another training video for Garand it adds to the previous one of him at 4 months old that shows things like loading on the trailer, etc.
First off this was his VERY FIRST time meeting Spooky kitty and working the obstacles with him in there. It was VERY WINDY and Spooky moved around ALOT!! Even collapsed and deflated while working Garand you can see at the tarp going to the cowboy curtain how Garand keep flicking his ear to the right that was when Spooky was deflating. I didn't notice that until we came back around so now there is a NEW obstacle on the course he had never seen a flattened Spooky kitty. I took Garand down to see Spooky kitty and within about 2 minutes he was willing to walk under him. Yes a bit on the unsure side but you can see that he tried his best to listen to my cues and not be too worried over him. Throughout the video you can see Garand is still a bit unsure of Spooky kitty so rushes a bit here and there but this is him learning how to deal with the situation and moving on and listening to me.
Things you don't see in the video was just after going under Spooky kitty and we play with the blue tarp we cross and stop over a huge 14 x 16 silver tarp.
Other newer things for Garand is the learning to lead on the offside. The bullwhip is fairly new as well.
I love how he is learning to respond to my cues like the whoa where you can clearly see that on the bridge that he stops on a very light lead.
All and all I think for such a young one he has a great grasp of understanding and willingness. Each exercise isn't just for show that all have some added side learning benefit.
